Q. 34. Wherefore callest thou him, Our Lord ?
Question. Wherefore callest thou him, Our Lord ?
Answer. Because he has redeemed us, both soul and body, from all our sins (1 Cor. 6;20); not with gold or silver, but with his precious blood (Col. 1;14); and has delivered us from all the power of the devil, and thus made us his own property (Heb. 2;14, 15).
